Crock a doodle dooo

Snow day, snow day.  Waking up to a couple of inches of snow isn’t a bad way to start the day. Especially living in North Carolina, we shut it down, if there are any signs of white flakes!  If you go to the grocery store, there is no milk, eggs or bread to be found.  Quick make a list, batteries, chili makings and don’t forget the booooooooze.

I am no different, broke out the crock pot and made split pea soup.  YUM.

Green split peas, pureed onion, carrots, bok choy, celery in a little oil and vermouth, added a can of tomatoes and mushed up some potato and covered!  Snow and split pea soup.  What will I cook tomorrow?

  1. I made chili but bought everything for split pea soup. Split pea soup–it may not be pretty but it sure is tasty.
